Second title of the season for La Natividad La Dolfina!

On Thursday, 10/30, the decisive match of the 85th Tortugas Country Club Open was played. The recent winner of the Hurlingham Club Open and only contender for the Triple Crown, La Natividad La Dolfina, beat Ellerstina Indios Chapaleufú Vista by a tight 12 to 11, took the trophy and will seek the TC in the 132nd Argentine Polo Galicia Open.

The tournament was played by the 8 best teams in the world, which boast between 32 and 40 goals of handicapp.

The finalist teams and progression:

La Natividad La Dolfina: Camilo Castagnola 10 (4 goals), Adolfo Cambiaso (n) 10 (4, two penalties), Adolfo Cambiaso (h) 10 and Bartolomé Castagnola (h) 10 (4, one penalty 1). Total: 40.

Ellerstina Chapaleufú Indians View: Facundo Pieres 10 (5, one penalty), Antonio Heguy 8 (2), Gonzalo Pieres (h) 9 (3) and Cruz Heguy 9 (1 penalty 1). Total: 36.La Natividad La Dolfina: 1-0, 4-1, 4-4, 5-6, 7-7, 8-8, 11-9 and 12-11.

THE NUMBERS

La Natividad La Dolfina won its second title since the two teams merged. Separately, La Natividad now has three trophies in Tortugas (2022, 23 and 25); while La Dolfina accumulates seven (2013 to 2018 and 2025).

 

On the individual side, Adolfo Cambiaso (Jr.) won his 10th title in this Open. For their part, Camilo and Barto Castagnola won the tournament for the third time; while Poroto Cambiaso was champion for the first time in Tortugas. Congratulations!
