Running River Polo Day
It was one of the intense level of tournaments which have taken place in Tang Polo Club — the first session of ‘ Running River Polo Day ’ ,on 20th July , 2014 . Stifling , people can hardly breathe in the sun , burning air could nearly be melting the earth . Even though , the enthusiasm of the players and audiences as if like the weather today – boiling up . The tournament was played over 2 days with 3 teams taking part .

On the final day , The first two chukkas were played between RR and TPC . At the very start , because of a penalty to TPC , Liu ShiLai got a chance of a penalty shot . Unfortunately he missed it , the ball flew out-of- bounds tightly streamlined against the goal .But not long after that , Xiao Li gave RR the lead from an amazing nearside chop . After changing their ponies , the players came back to the field for the second chukka . Liu XiangYang from TPC was taking the ball on his own from the through in , right the way to the goal . Immediately following , TPC scored a goal again . With out a sign of weakness , Li YanYang evened out the score by a beautiful tailshot . This goal offered an important boost of morale . In the end of this chukka , RR seized the opportunity and got a goal again . Finally , the score stood at RR with 3 goals and TPC with 2 goals .
Between the two games Tang Polo Club arranged the players and ponies to have a half an hour rest , guests could play some games relate to polo at the lawn edge , we are proud to say they were very happy .
The next two chukkas were played between RR and GS . Not long after the game began , GS’s Norman , who is only 16 years old , was hit by the ball and hurt his chest , he looks strong , as is also the adamancy of the heart , after adjusting the status he devoted to the game quickly and demonstrated grate resilience in the face of this obstacle — he scored a goal and render GS to the leading position . But the recalcitrant RR’s players were loath to lag behind , Liu ShiLai immediately continued to operate offensives against GS , he pass the ball to Li YanYang skillfully , their coordination was perfect , and Li YanYang did not waste the opportunity . He hit the ball hardly , and successfully got the goal .
At the opening in the fourth chukka , GS’s Norman was taking the ball on his own , and scored one goal . At this time GS seemed dominated the game . Although they had been fighting 4 chukkas in the burning air continuously , It was a huge challenge to their stamina , they were still full of passionate in their heart . Xiao Li and his partners accomplished a perfect coordination and evened out the score . After RR controlled the rhythm of the tournament Li YanYang scored another goal . The score stood at RR with 3 and GS with 2.
The last two chukka were played between TPC and GS . Just 30 seconds after the opening , GS’s Norman scored a beautiful 30 yard penalty . TPC had already had a rest during the game between RR and GS . so , on the side of stamina they had advantage over GS . TPC’s Li Fei evened out the score , but it was not over yet , TPC did not offer GS an opportunity to catch their breathe , TPC scored another goal immediately following .
The sixth chukka was the very intense . Either success or failure depended on this chukka. It seemed the situation on the field broke wide open with two amazing goals by Norman . there were only 10 seconds left , everyone thought GS would win this chukka , just then , TPC’s Liu Nan scored a goal , evened out the score .

After several fierce fightings , RR won this tournament .
GS’s Norman was the MVP of this tournament , he had shown a great improvement of speed , technique and skill in this tournament , he is worthy of the title of MVP .
