Argentina Polo Tour – Copa Stella Artois and Copa Noveno Chukker TV

Argentina Polo Tour – Copa Stella Artois and Copa Noveno Chukker TV

Saturday saw the final of the last 16 goal tournament of this year’s Argentina Polo Tour, which was played in the beautiful grounds of Centauros Polo Club.

Receiving a goal on handicap, Cabreuva seemed destined to win from the outset, and dominated the first 5 chukkas, rushing to an 9-6 lead. La Hormiga came back onto the field for the sixth chukka having clearly regrouped, and took advantage of several fouls to force an extra chukka.

The match seemed to be over when Cabreuva were awarded a 60-yard penalty, but Benoit’s shot lacked height and was intercepted by Ulloa, who passed to Willington, sealing the game and the Copa Stella Artois.

Open Chela played by Temy Willington was awarded best playing pony.

In the subsidiary final, the Copa Noveno Chukker TV, Pilar Chico defeated Tom Tailor by 11 goals to 7.

The tour concludes with the 4th and final stage at Ellerstina, starting on Tuesday.
