On Sunday 11/23, on field 2 of the Argentine Polo Galicia Field in Palermo, date 8 (fourth of Zone B) of the world’s top competition of our sport began to be played: the 132nd Argentine Polo Galicia Open presented by Visa.
In a very important match for both tables (the tournament itself and the Ranking), La Hache Cría & Polo won by a tight 16-15 to La Irenita La Hache Clinova (goal by “Toly” Ulloa 19 seconds from the final bell), took away the undefeated record of its rival in the tournament, won the Motorola Cup that was at stake and with the 1200 points it won, almost assured their permanence in the Triple Crown 2026 (at least they will play the Repechage, if Sol de Agosto beats La Natividad La Dolfina).
Teams and progression:
The Hatchet & Polo: Bautista Bayugar 8 (1 goal), Carlos M. Ulloa 8 (2), Ignacio Laprida 8 (3) and Joaquín Pittaluga 8 (10, eight penalties). Total: 32.
La Irenita La Hache Clinova: Hilario Ulloa 9 (10, seven penalties), Francisco Elizalde 9 (2), Matías Mac Donough (h) 7 (1) and Ignatius du Plessis 9 (2). Total: 34.
