BEACH POLO MASTERS 2015

This weekend (1st – 3rd May) crowds will be gathering at Timmendorfer Beach on the Baltic Coast for the 9th Beach Polo Masters. Like the Dubai and Miami Beach tournaments, this one also attracts the spectators with up to 50,000 people expected to attend the sands of the event. This year as Thomas Strunck of Baltic Polo Events explains, ‘The start of the season on the Baltic coast will delight visitors with a new format: We will open the tent landscape with the ascended specially made sand patio and the sunny box seats directly above the playing field now for all guests and visitors.’ Entry is € 20.00 entry per person / day (incl. € 10.00 meal voucher and entrance to the player’s party in the ‘Nautic Club’. Top DJ Stefan Gruenwald from Hamburg will be on the decks to ensure all spectators enjoy themselves pitch-side, whilst on the pitch six international teams featuring players from Argentina, Demark, Czech and German Polo Clubs will compete to win the 6th Beach Polo Masters Trophy in 2015.
Also pitch-side is the Engel & Völkers Polo School where visitors can try their hand at the sport of polo, and for those who prefer horsepower of the four-wheel variety there are a variety of vehicles being presented by The Lübeck Autohaus as ‘horsepower under the hood.’
The Beach Polo Masters Schedule 2015:
Saturday 1st May: from approx 14:00 friendlies
Friday 1st – Monday 3rd May: from 13:00 – three games a day
Monday 3rd May: Award ceremony directly after the final match
