With the patrons and players arriving for the high goal section of the Royal Salute Gold Cup China Open Polo Tournament 2012, they were greeted with deep blue skies and a gentle breeze, typical for the autumn in Beijing. The players have been trying out their horses and ready for the preliminary matches from Wednesday 19th with the finals over the coming weekend tomorrow.
The crowds over the weekend are expected to be large and they will witness some great polo with the likes of JJ Brane 7 goal and a great group of 6 goal players, Horacio Etcheverry, Ignacio “Nacho” Figueras, Lucas Talamoni and Nacho Gonzalez. Included in the mix is Shilai Liu, China’s premier polo player, with the teams coming from the UK, Australia, USA, Thailand and of course China.
