BMW Polo Masters 2012

The invincible Matthieu Delfosse wins yet another victory at the BMW Polo Masters in Val d ‘Isère!

Matthieu Delfosse remains unbeaten after playing 4 times at the BMW Polo Masters in Val d ‘Isère and taking Barmes de l’Ours to victory for the 3rd year running.

A hard-won victory as the Barmes de l’Ours team led by Claude Solarz were up against the Hôtel Avenue Lodge team in the finals led by Mickael Redding and with Clément Delfosse. An exciting battle, the team captains did not leave the spectators disappointed, intense action full of rebounds. Both teams were shoulder-to-shoulder right up until the last minute, no respite for the ponies and it kept the spectators on the edge of their seats until the final bell rang. The Hotel Avenue Lodge team finally bowed out to Barme’s de l’Ours by one point: the final score, 9 to 8.

For 3 days the 4 teams have shown the spectators top-level polo matches thanks to the arrival of new owners who were very active on the ground and the attendance of the finest French players. Take note of Brieuc Rigaux and Pierre Henri Ngoumou, the only two French players with a handicap of 5.

The BMW Polo Masters last week in Val d’Isère was an incredible edition despite the difficulties encountered setting up the event due to the exceptional meteorological conditions. Its success is down to the ski resort’s technical services, the hoteliers, socio-professionals and our providers who rose to the challenge of this magnificent event.

4 teams in the radiant sunshine and freezing cold were rapidly supported by the active participation of the hoteliers and restaurants in the resort, who pulled out all the stops to keep the public warm.

The BMW Polo Masters in Val d’Isère, Barmes Trophy Pro Am has become, without doubt, the resort’s indispensable event.
