Bobby Barry Cup

Sold-out Sunday Polo Scene Thrills Spectators

The tenacious Tonkawa polo team became the first team to qualify for a semifinal berth in the Bobby Barry Cup, a subsidiary of the 20-goal Joe Barry Memorial Cup, with an 8-7 win over Orchard Hill. Both teams scored back-to-back goals, with the scored tied several times during the second half, keeping polo enthusiasts on the edge of their seats.

Fashion, style, and festivities dominated the scene at the sold-out Lilly Pulitzer Patio, the exclusive Coco Polo Lounge, and the chic Veuve Clicquot Lounge. Lana Epstein competed in Sunday’s Sentient Jet Soar and Score Challenge on the field, and successfully scored a goal during the halftime divot stomp. Sentient Jet, the Exclusive Private Aviation Partner during the 2016 polo season at the International Polo Club, donates $1,000 to a local charity at Sunday matches when a lucky spectator wins the challenge. Congratulations to this week’s winner!
