Bombardier Pacific Coast Open 2012

Bombardier Pacific Coast Open 2012

On the 24th of August at SBPRC, they had a very exciting day of polo with the first round of tournament play for the Bombardier Pacific Coast Open getting underway.

Even though the games were played on a Thursday there was no shortage of fans, with people lined almost from end line to end line in order to catch the intense high goal action. Since this was the first round of tournament play both the games were very important with a win putting you in the driver seat and a loss putting you behind the eight ball.

In the 2pm game Grants Farm started out extremely strong and never let Mansour get back in the game with a final score of 14 to 8. However just because this game was lopsided on the scoreboard did not mean it was not extremly fast and full of great plays from both teams.

The high scoreer of this game was Jeff Hall with 7 goals. In the 4pm game Lucchese and Farmers and Merchants Bank battled it out neck and neck all the way until the 5th chukker where Lucchese thanks great penalty shooting pulled out ahead and won by a score of 16 to 10.

The scoring honors of this Adolfo Cambiaso with his impressive 10 goal effort to go along with handicap.
