Santa Barbara Polo & Racquet Club offers a wide variety of leagues from coaching league to 8-goal to 12-goal to 20-goal. There is something for everyone!
Coaching League, May-October: Every Saturday and Sunday we will have two chukkers with professional instruction. Horses will be available to rent on a limited basis. This is ideal for players transitioning from arena to outdoor polo and for people who have taken lessons, but are still learning the nuances of the sport.
Club Polo League, April 19-June 22 and September 4-October 11: Early bird club polo starts Easter weekend with club chukkers taking place Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. Players can sign up for fun, relaxed chukkers, and teams will be put together by the polo manager. Monthly and three-month memberships are available and non-members can sign up one week per month.
Both the Coaching League and Club Polo are played alongside the thrilling 12-goal league, leading up to the LaMartina USPA Intra-Circuit Cup in June.
Summer 8 Goal, July-August: In conjunction with the prestigious 20-goal league, the 8-goal is competitive and family friendly. The series of two-week tournaments is played at both SBPRC fields and the scenic fields in the surrounding area, with the finals played in front of big crowds at the SBPRC grandstands. Beat the summer heat and play next to the beach in Summer 8-goal series!
