It’s Polo Time: Draw Announced for Fortune Heights Super Nations Cup 2014
The team match-ups have been drawn for the third annual Fortune Heights Super Nations Cup, one of the highest-goal international tournaments in world polo. Hosted by the Federation of International Polo (FIP) and the Chinese Equestrian Association (CEA), the tournament will take place during China’s Golden Week national holiday from October 1 to 5 2014. The world class polo field and ponies at Tianjin Goldin Metropolitan Polo Club are ready to welcome back the four elite teams that challenged for the Super Nations Cup last year: Argentina, England, Hong Kong China and USA.
Last year’s champions Hong Kong China will play USA in the opening six-chukka match on Wednesday October 1, with the losing finalists England taking on Argentina a day later. The winners of each contest will play each other in the grand final on Sunday October 5, with the losers contesting the subsidiary final a day earlier.
As ever, top class hospitality and entertainment befitting the “sport of kings” will be provided by the Tianjin Goldin Metropolitan Polo Club, who look forward to welcoming polo fans from around the world when the tournament begins in October.
