May 2026, London, UK
The Polo Awards, hosted by the Hurlingham Polo Association (HPA), took place on Monday May 11th, at The Underglobe, in London, celebrating the stars of the 2025 polo season.
The awards evening honours the stand-out winners and champions competing within different levels of polo from the previous season in England. A highlight of the polo calendar, the sparkling event has become a tradition that brings the polo community together to kick-off the English season in style, ahead of a summer of world-class sporting action.
The Standing Rock Fair Play Award was presented by Philipp Müller to Ferne Park, represented by Joaquin Pittaluga, for a second consecutive year. Following rigorous scoring by umpires throughout the 2025 UK season, Ferne Park once again emerged as the team which demonstrated superior sportsmanship, discipline, respect for umpires and horse welfare throughout the Victor Ludorum series.
The Standing Rock Fair Play Award is gaining traction in the polo world internationally, now presented by four governing bodies for polo worldwide, in England, France, Australia and New Zealand, with the list of partners growing.
Will Lucas, Chairman of the HPA commented: “The Standing Rock Fair Play Award is very important for polo, as it rewards quality of behaviour, which is paramount in this day and age.”
Chief Executive of the HPA Anna Hall added: “The Standing Rock Fair Play Award is so important to the Hurlingham Polo Association, as we wrote the rules of polo, and fair play is what it’s all about. We create winners and we create losers, but doing it in a fair way is respectful to the people and of course the ponies.”
