Brazil wins their match against Argentina 9 – 8.
Chile beats England in extra chukker 10 – 9 in close match.

The X World Polo Championship 2015 started this Friday. Argentina played against Brazil at 15:00, both teams have a handicap of +14.
 
Argentina: Pablo Ávalos (2), Marcos Panelo (4), Bautista Bayugar (5) y Salvador Jauretche (3)

Brazil: Eduardo Parise (2), Gustavo García (4), Joao Novais (4) y Gabriel Villela Rosa (4).

At 16:30 the official opening ceremony of the tournament was held, in which the president of the Chilean Federation of Polo, Lionel Soffia, gave welcoming remarks, followed by greetings from the President of the International Federation of Polo, Nicholas Colquhoun-Denvers, and the President of Polo and Riding Club San Cristóbal, Alejandro Bañados.
 
After a short-Equestrian folkloric show with the presentation of recognized national club “Palmas de Peñaflor” the second World Cup match between Chile and England (both teams with 14 goals handicap) started.

The six teams continue battle in the fields of Polo and Riding Club San Cristobal between 27 and April 1 in what will be one of the sporting events to be played this year in Chile.
 
This is the second time a World Polo Championship has been played in Chile. The first was in 1992, in which Argentina, who hopes to repeat winning the crown, won in the last Championship and has won four times, winning its second World Polo Championship. Chile will try to use it’s local status as leverage to win the Championship, which only won in 2008 in Mexico.
