Guards Polo Club throw open its doors to 300 guests to celebrate The Atlantic Polo Team ocean crossing and win

 

 

On Friday 2nd May, one of the most prestigious polo clubs in the world opened up its doors to 300 guests in celebration of The Atlantic Polo Team and to show unseen video footage from the boat.

 

The Atlantic Polo Team, comprised of Henry Brett, Bobby Melville, James Glasson and Fergus Scholes are made up of four polo players who won their class in The Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge by rowing unaided across the Atlantic ocean in just 48 days. They were also joined by their rivals Row 2 Recovery who came in a close second to help them celebrate their achievement.

 

300 guests came from far and wide to mark the occasion with some travelling from as far as New York to party alongside the great and the good of the polo industry. The team showcased their documentary on the evening ahead of The Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge documentary being aired on Sky Sports on June 11th.

 

Joining the team on the evening were Guards Polo Club members alongside members from all of the clubs around the UK combined with ocean rowing teams and their friends and families, fans of the Atlantic Polo Team new to polo and guests from the great and the good of the polo world.
