Hippocampus Cup 2010
For the 2nd consecutive year, Easy polo team wins the Hippocampus Cup.
At the Polo Club Saint-Tropez, the crowd was charmed by the very tight final between the German French team of SAINT-TROPEZ and the Swiss winning team of last year EASY POLO TEAM who wins again.
The mixed polo/sailing teams were chosen by drawing lots on Friday at the société Nautique de Saint-Tropez. The coincidence gathered the 2 teams that would be 1st in their own discipline. Thus, The big winners of the Hippocampus Cup are EASY POLO TEAM who makes its sailing partner teams BOTTA DRITTA (also winner in the sailing discipline) and KZI MOT D’EAU win.
The 3 teams win a wonderful replica of an art work located at the Polo Club Saint-Tropez/Haras de Gassin. It represents a chain with a large mesh on its base. Barbara Biesterfeld, wife of its creator, offered these trophies, pointing out that this chain means strength, interaction and collaboration. Just like a sport team “if one of the links breaks, la chain loses her strength…”.
