Hublot Polo Gold Cup Gstaad – 15th-18th August 2013

Summer in Gstaad all set to be a sporty and glamorous affair with 18th edition of the prestigious Hublot Polo Gold Cup Gstaad

Two days and counting until the start of the traditional Hublot Polo Gold Cup in Gstaad. The organising Committee is working hard to ensure polo players and spectators alike are greeted by the best of conditions.

The tournament will run over four days and aside from the polo will offer an abundance of social eventsLive including a cocktail reception and gala dinner evening. The polo grounds will open on Thursday 15 August at 11:00 with matches starting at 13:30. The inaugural matches will be a chance for the 14-goal handicap teams to familiarise and develop a cohesion between each other.

On Friday 16 August at 16:00, all players and horses will parade along Gstaad’s famous promenade, a spectacle not to be missed. On Saturday 17 August, the Official Polo Village – which will feature a number of stands and shops – opens at 11:00 and competitions will start at 13:30. Once again, the Saturday night gala dinner in the VIP marquee will be the highlight of the event thanks to the performances of many artists, notably the talented comedian Rob Spence. The Final will take place on Sunday 18 August from 13:30, with a prize giving following the match.

A selection of some of the world’s top players will compete in this year’s competition, including:

Olavo Novaes (BRA) hcp 8, Frankie Menendez (ARG) hcp 7, Francisco and Gonzalo Fucci (ARG) hcp 6, Santi Cernadas (ARG) hcp 6, Marcos Riglos (ARG) hcp 6 and Juan de Ezcurra (ARG) hcp 5.

Entrance is free to the public and the Kinder Paradise will ensure children are treated with the best animations (pony rides, inflatable castles, etc).
