La Irenita was proclaimed champion of the 61st Open of the Jockey Club Copa Eminent this Saturday, after beating Las Monjitas by 13 to 9 in the final held on field 1 of the Jockey Club, in San Isidro.
La Irenita consistig of Beltrán Laulhé, Paco De Narváez, Pablo Mac Donough and Matías Mac Donough (h) won the cup again after 16 years. In 2010, Pablo Mac Donough had also been part of the winning team. In the individual team, it was the fourth coronation for Pablo Mac Donough, the second for Paco De Narváez, and the first for both Beltrán Laulhé and Matías Mac Donough (h). The 61st Open of the Jockey Club Copa Eminent was organized by the Jockey Club of Buenos Aires together with Minuto Siete, and marketed by Puken.
In front of a large audience, the entrance of the Alto Perú Military Fanfare of the General San Martín Horse Grenadier Regiment was the starting point for the start of the final.
