The Jockey Club Open gets underway today in Buenos Aires
with the six teams that are vying for spots in the Hurlingham Open and
Argentine Open competing for the first of the season’s high-goal tournaments.

Two of the six “qualifying teams” will advance to play in
Hurlingham Open and Argentine Open play as emerging stars and fading icons of
the game make an attempt to make it back onto the big stage one more time.

The 28-goal La Vanguardia lineup (Inaki Laprida, Gonzalo
Deltour, Ezequiel Ferrario and Santiago Toccalino) will face the 32-goal Magual
team (Alejandro Muzzio, Ignacio Toccalino, Marcos Di Paola and Jaime Huidobro)
in the noon contest while a 30-goal Chapaleufu entry (Alberto Heguy, Francisco
Elizalde, Bautista Heguy and Eduardo Heguy) will battle 28-goal Las Overas
(Salvador Ulloa, Valerio Zubiaurre, Guillermo Willington and Alfredo Barabucci)
at 4PM.

Thursday action will feature two 29-goal teams in Cuatro
Vientos (Juan Martin Zavaleta, Jr., Juan Grossi, Alejandro Agote and Santiago
Tanoira) and La California (Diego Cavanagh, Guillermo Terrera, Ignatius Du
Plessis and Tomas Garcia del Rio) in an 11AM match.

The Jockey Club Open will allow the teams an opportunity to
work the wrinkles out of their lineups before the qualifiers get started on Thursday,
September 26.
