A new edition of La Aguada Cowdray Park Polo Trophy is underway
A new edition of La Aguada Cowdray Park Polo Trophy, has just started on Thursday November 21, co-hosted together by two of the most prestigious polo clubs worldwide, La Aguada Polo Club and Cowdray Park Polo Club.
The competition will feature four teams up to 13 goals, including the Novillo Astrada brothers playing alongside patrons, players and members of Cowdray Park.
This annual event strengthens the bonds and friendship between these two renowned and classy polo clubs, La Aguada and Cowdray Park. Set in Midhurst, West Sussex, England, Cowdray Park Polo Club was established in 1910 and is considered the home of British Polo, as well as the place of the rebirth of polo in England following the Second World War, under the leadership and the vigorous encouragement of John Weetman Pearson, Third Viscount Cowdray. In addition, his enthusiasm for the sport led the Viscount to establish one of the most coveted polo trophies of the world, The Gold Cup for the British Open, which has been playing since 1956. The final, due on July every year, takes place on the club’s main ground, overlooking the impressive ruins of Cowdray Castle. The Gold Cup and Cowdray Park have seen the Novillo Astrada brothers win and playing for several years.
