MASERATI LAUNCHES POLO TOUR IN PARTNERSHIP WITH LA MARTINA
MASERATI CONTINUES ITS PRESENCE ON THE WORLD’S MOST PRESTIGIOUS POLO PLAYING FIELD ALONG WITH LA MARTINA, OFFICIAL SUPPLIER OF THE MASERATI TEAMS
Maserati will kick off its 2015 Polo Tour in partnership with International sports and leisure apparel brand La Martina at the “Julius Baer Beach Polo World Cup Sylt” this coming May 23rd. The tournament marks the first of four events that make up the “Maserati Polo Tour,” with subsequent tournaments occurring in the UK, US and China, as well as the continuation of the partnership between Maserati and La Martina, the official clothing supplier of the world’s most prestigious polo events.
The successful partnership between Maserati and La Martina has already generated a strong buzz with the success of their co-branded capsule collection. This year, Maserati’s presence in the polo world will be further reinforced as the Modenese car manufacturer takes on the role of title sponsor of the world’s most elite polo events. To celebrate the 2015 Tour, La Martina and Maserati will launch a new sports and leisure apparel collection, designed by La Martina for Maserati. The collection takes inspiration from the concept of the “Polo Player Kit”, drawing on the sophisticated style shown in the players’ off-field lives.
Following its inaugural tournament, which takes place in a spectacular polo arena directly on the beach of Sylt Island Germany, the Maserati Polo Tour will continue on to the UK with the celebrated “Maserati Jerudong Park Trophy.” The UK tournament supports the charities of Prince William, The Duke of Cambridge, and his brother Prince Harry and will take place on May 24th at one of the oldest and most prestigious English polo clubs around the world, the “Cirencester Park Polo Club”, inaugurated in 1894.
From September 3rd to 6th Maserati will then compete with its team in the “USPA Maserati Silver Cup” at the Santa Barbara Polo & Racquet Club, California; one of the oldest tournaments in North America, the Silver Cup ranks in the top four USA polo tournaments. The final tournament The “Maserati Metropolitan Polo Classic 2015” will follow in China at the Tianjin Goldin Metropolitan Polo Club in October.
