Polo America Expo 2011

Polo America Expo 2011

Polo America Expo will return to Las Vegas at the South Point Casino and Equestrian Center on September 30 – October 2, 2011.   Once again polo players from all over the world will unite in Las Vegas to see the latest in polo equipment, attend seminars, network, purchase horses, watch polo and enjoy the camaraderie of polo.

The overall Polo Village has increased to 80,000 square feet.   This is double the size of last Expo.  We will feature over 150 exhibitors.  To increase traffic to our vendors and we are opening the Polo Village to the general public free of charge.  We also will host the finals of the Men and Women’s U.S. Open Arena Polo Championship on October 1st.   All 4400 attendees will gain entrance to the arena by walking through the Polo Village.   This is the first time polo has been played in Las Vegas in thirty years.

The South Point Casino and Equestrian Center provides us with a perfect venue for Polo America Expo.    The expanded floor space allows us to keep the breakfast, lunches and cocktail reception inside the Polo Village.   We’ve also formatted a sixty- minute break between each seminar to allow attendees ample time to shop.

The Polo Village has been billed as “one stop polo shopping”.    Attendees can find everything from tack, saddles, boots, feed, barns, fences, insurance, clothes, helmets, mallets, real estate, tractors, trucks, polo clubs, feed, supplements, knee pads, shavings, instruction, barn interiors, publications, polo vacations, polo schools, immigration information, equine art, polo organizations, photography, arenas, watering systems, arena rakes, goal posts, horses, cloning, infrared scans of horses and players, horse transportation, stall mats, jewelry, trailers, field maintenance, and much more.

Players will also be able to purchase horses at the Polo Pony Sale.   Fifty polo ponies will be brought in for auction.   Practice chukkers will take place on September 30 and October 1 in the South Point Arena.

On the social side the Black Tie Blue Jeans Awards dinner will be held on September 30th to honor Polo Angels: George Rawlings and Sunny Hale, Polo Sponsor of the Decade: Ford Trucks and Polo America Lifetime Achievement recipient Tony Coppola.  Throughout the weekend there are numerous cocktail receptions, lunches and a Sunday brunch.  For the ladies there will be a fashion show on Friday afternoon.   Lamborghini will be offering test drives throughout the weekend.   And if you ever wanted to try Segway Polo you can try it in the Polo Village on Saturday afternoon.
