Mahra and Edrees will play the final of the Polo Masters Cup after today ́s results of the last qualifying matches held this afternoon at the Al Habtoor Polo Resort and Club. 

Zedan victory against Habtoor by a only one goal difference (9-8) gave Edrees, with a better goal difference, the chance to play the final despite of having two wins each in the tournament. 

Zedan will play the Subsidiary Final against UAE Polo, after HH Sheika Maitha team defeated Bin Drai in the second match of the day by 6 goals to 5.5. 

Finals of the Polo Masters Cup will be held next monday at Al Habtoor Polo Resort and Club with Zedan and UAE Polo playing from 2 pm followed by the great final between Mahra and Edrees. 

Matches Progression:

Zedan: 1-3/ 3-4/ 5-7/ 9-8 

UAE Polo: 1-2.5/ 4-3.5/ 5-4.5/ 6-5.5 

Mohammed Al Habtoor, Vice Chairman of the Al Habtoor Polo Resort and Club, launched The Polo Masters Cup, a new medium goal tournament with teams seven teams taking part.

The tournament is up to 14 goals handicap and will be held at the Al Habtoor Polo Resort and Club from Monday 8th February to Monday 15th February 2016. 

We are delighted to announce the Polo Masters Cup 2016, a new addition to the polo sport in Dubai. This will be the first tournament that will be held at Al Habtoor Polo Resort and Club. 

The newly developed Al Habtoor Polo Club & Resort, located in DubaiLand will be a horse lovers dream!

There will also be an academy offering multiple disciplines from traditional horse-riding, dressage, show jumping and polo; state-of-the-art stable and a club to rival age-old sporting institutions in the West. 

 

The centerpiece of the Al Habtoor Polo Resort & Club will be a five-star St. Regis hotel, a brand that has long been associated with polo, since the turn of the 20th century in fact! However it marks the first-ever St. Regis polo resort.
