Araucaria Polo Club and BP Polo Malaysia winners at the opening of the
POLO RIDER CUP
The 2022 POLO RIDER CUP started today with the victories of Araucaria Polo Club playing against Polo Club Niederweiden, and later BP Polo Malaysia beat Hong Kong Polo Association.
In the first game of the day, Araucaria Polo Club took the first victory of the tournament against Polo Club Niederweiden by 13 – 8 ½ goals.
Araucaria Polo Club had a good start, and despite Polo Club Niederweiden managed to enter into the game with four goals of Paul Grabosh, closing the gap at the end of the fourth chukker by 7 – 6 ½ goals, an excellent performance of Adrian Laplacette gave the win to the Argentinian team.
The day’s second match saw BP Malaysia winning to Hong Kong Polo Association by 15 – 6 goals with an outstanding performance of Tomas Panelo, who scored 11 goals for his team.
The Malaysian team had a fantastic first half of the game, and after the third chukker, BP Malaysia team was leading the match by 11 – 3 goals.
Hong Kong Polo Association scored three more goals in the last two chukkers but at the end the final scoring was 15 – 6 goals
