Prince Bahar Jefri’s Richard Mille beat Spencer McCarthy’s Emlor and Jerome Wirth’s Enigma downed Stefano Marsaglia’s Piaget in Sunday’s League One matches for the Harcourt Developments Queen’s Cup at Guards Polo Club.

In the first match, Richard Mille won 12 goals to 9. Emlor, the only all-English team in the 22-goal tournament, were without their star member, seven-goal England player Luke Tomlinson. He is sidelined with a leg injury and was substituted with the Chilean seven-goaler José Donoso.

Richard Mille, patroned by the nephew of the Sultan of Brunei, was awarded the Kerry Packer trophy.

Enigma won the second match by outscoring Piaget 13-9. This was the team’s second win of the tournament; they had defeated Richard Mille in overtime in the opening game of the Queen’s Cup last Tuesday, with French patron Wirth scoring the golden goal.

The two Argentine 10-goalers in action on this fifth day of league play performed better than they had in their opening matches last week. Pablo MacDonough scored 10 of Richard Mille’s 12 goals and Juan Martin Nero accounted for 9 of Enigma’s 13 points.

League play in the Queen’s Cup continues Tuesday when Sumaya meet Talandracas and Aravali play La Bamba de Areco.
