Royal Salute wins subsidiary final in Sotogrande

The Royal Salute Scotch Whisky team ran out narrow winners of the Sotogrande Silver Cup sub-final yesterday.


It was the team’s best performance of the seaon so far, with Jaime Huidobro showing his class delivering telling passes from distance, and Malcolm Borwick having a good day in front of goal to convert 7 field goals for Royal Salute Scotch Whisky. 


This was the third time the two teams had played, and with one win a piece it was always going to be tight.The match was in the balance until the last minute of the 6th chukka,  but the clock worked in favor of Royal Salute as HB attacked in the dying seconds the bell saved Royal Salute to them  an 9 8 victory. 


For the Gold Cup, Celine Charloux comes into the team in place of Petrus Fernandini, the first match is on Tuesday against Ayala.
