SHANGHAI TANG WOMEN’S INTERNATIONAL POLO TOURNAMENT
The Shanghai Tang Women’s International Polo 2009 tournament continues with the Silver League Final today – Saturday 5 September from 4.30pm onwards. The Margaritas will face Amarula in the 3rd/4th place play-off, while China Blue and Pink Champagne will play for the Silver League title.
In the second semi-final played on Friday 4 September, Pink Champagne defeated The Margaritas 3-1. Kelly Keyte (Australia; 1-goal handicap) and Rebecca Finn (UK; -1 goal handicap) scored 2 goals and 1 goal respectively to lead Pink Champagne into the title match..
The highlight of the tournament will be the Gold Cup match (0 to 2 goals handicap) which is scheduled on Sunday 6 September with representative teams from Singapore* and HPC England*. The Singapore Polo Club is honoured to have Mr. S Iswaran, Senior Minister of State for Trade & Industry and Education as the Guest-of-Honour at the Gold Cup match. The schedule of events also includes a fashion showcase by Shanghai Tang, featuring their 2009 Autumn/Winter collection, Kaleidoscope. A Ladies Best Hat Award will also be presented, with the winner receiving a unique Shanghai Tang Duffle Bag valued at over S$400.
The Singapore Polo Club welcomes all to visit the Club grounds to witness the Shanghai Tang Women’s International Polo Gold Cup Match. Admission is free and open to the public for viewing of matches.
