So who will be joining England in the FIP World Championships 2015 in Chile?

Following several days of trying ponies and practise matches to get all players familiarised with their mounts, matches are now underway on the Casa de Campo polo fields in La Romana, Dominican Republic to decide which 14 goal team from Zone A will join those teams already qualified.  Teams already heading to the FIP World Championships at the Club de Polo y Equitaction San Cristobal, Santiago Chile in March 2015 include England (Will Emerson, Peter Webb, George Pearson and Tommy Beresford – who beat off stiff competition and a possible penalty shootout, from France, Spain and Ireland at the Beaufort Polo Club in September), Pakistan (Captain, Maj Haseeb Minhas , Zain Khakwani , Saqib Khakwani  and Ahmed Ali Tiwana  – who defeated India in October), Argentina and host nation Chile.


First team USA (Jared Sheldon, Jesse Bray, Felipe Viana and Patrick Uretz) will meet Canada; then Mexico will face home team, Dominican Republic to decide who will be playing who in the outlined schedule:


Friday 12th December

10am Winner of Game 1 (USA v Canada) v Loser of Game 2 (Mexico v Dominican Republic)

4pm Loser of Game 1 v Winner of Game 2
