SAN ROQUE, Thursday, August 21, 2025 – The Gold Cup is going through a moment of great relevance based on what is being experienced on the field. This Thursday, two matches were held for Zone 2 of the High Handicap and one for the Low Handicap. The Gold Cup is the third stop of the 54th International Polo Tournament. The competition is divided into three levels: High (20-22 goals), Medium (12-14 goals) and Low Handicap (6-8 goals).
By the High Goal, Les Lions / Sainte Mesme beat La Dolfina Herederos del Marqués de Riscal by 13 to 12 after a goal by Hilario Ulloa in extra chukker, which allowed Robert Strom and Dillon Bacon’s team to stay alive in the tournament and keep alive their chances of reaching the semifinals.

By the Low Handicap, Essso defeated 1896 Adrenalina and consolidated his good moment in the contest, as this meant his second victory in the contest.
