LA DOLFINA, THE MARQUIS OF RISCAL AND AMANARA, TO THE SEMI-FINALS OF THE TERRALPA SILVER CUP
SAN ROQUE, Monday, August 11, 2025 – This Monday, the last tickets that were available for the semifinals of the Terralpa High Handicap Silver Cup were decided, after the victories of La Dolfina Marqués de Riscal and Amanara over Whizmo and Les Lions/Sainte Mesme, respectively. It should be remembered that the Terralpa Silver Cup is the second stop of the 54th International Polo Tournament. The competition is divided into three polo categories: High (20-22 goals), Medium (12-14 goals) and Low Handicap (6-8 goals), and the finals are scheduled to be played between Friday 15 and Saturday 16 August.
In this way, and after the qualifications to the semifinals achieved on Sunday by MB Polo Team and Black Bears, the draw for the next instance was formed. On the one hand, MB Polo Team, winner of Zone 1, will face Amanara, second in Zone 2, for a place in the final; while La Dolfina Herederos del Marqués de Riscal, winner of Zone 2, will play against Black Bears for the other semifinal. Both matches will be on Wednesday afternoon in Los Pinos, and the final will be on Saturday, August 16.
There was also action for the Low Handicap this Monday, with victories for ESSSO, La Capilla and Hartog Polo Team, which resulted in all of them being left with two wins in the series. Calatagan, who had a bye this Monday, remains at the top of the general table, with 3 wins. Everything will be settled on Wednesday, when the last date of the qualifying instance of the category takes place.
Admission to all the days of the 54th International Polo Tournament, both at Ayala Polo Club and at Ayala Los Pinos Headquarters, is free of charge. In addition, VIP Passes can be purchased for an exclusive experience throughout the event.
