La Indiana wins and qualifies to the semifinals of the Santa Maria Polo Club High Goal Gold Cup
La Indiana defeated Lechuza Caracas by 11 goals to 10 and made it to the semifinals of Santa Maria Polo Club Gold Cup along with Ayala Polo Team and Lechuza Caracas. Patron Michael Bickford´s team needed the victory to reach the final stages and made it after playing a great match.
There´s only one place remaining in the semifinals and it will be decided next wednesday, in the last qualifying round of the Gold Cup, with the match between Dos Lunas A&G Banca Privada and Dubai Polo Team.

We had a very good start in the Gold Cup and then two very bad games so today against a very tough team like Lechuza Caracas we had to do our best, and happily we did it. We had a Silver Cup really complicated, with injures and the reassemble of the team in the Gold Cup, so to be in the semifinals is very good”.

After the last qualifying stage held today at Puente de Hierro fields, the semifinals of the Gold Cup are already set. Jolly Rogers, La Clarita, Sapphire and FCT Sotovila will play the final round of the most important trophy of the 46th International Polo Tournament.
In today´s results, Jolly Rogers King of Polo defeated Sardañola by 9 goals to 5 while Sapphire did the same with La Clarita by 7-5 and FCT Sotovila beat La Mangosta by 9-8. With these results, Jolly Rogers Kings of Polo will face La Clarita and Sapphire will play against FCT Sotovila in next thursday semifinals.
Aerolíneas Argentinas Medium Goal Gold Cup
Golden Goose Deluxe Brand and Twenty 20 will play tomorrow, from 6:45 at Los Pinos field 1, the semifinals of the Subsidiary Aerolíneas Argentinas Cup.
In this 46th edition of the Tournament more than 21 teams are taking part of the competition, with a large number of elite players, including four of the top 10 players in world polo ranking: Facundo Pieres, who will play with Ayala Polo Team; Juan Martín Nero and Pablo Mac Donough, who will stand up for Brunei and Dubai Polo Teams, and the Uruguayan David Stirling. Besides polo matches, attendance, that´s free during almost all the season matches, has many leisure activities available: a varied gastronomy, Shopping Village, children’s area, bars, After Polo night parties.
