In a third consecutive defeat England narrowly lost to the Commonwealth team in the last test match of the summer for the St Regis International Cup at Cowdray Park Polo Club


 


The match which took place at Lawns yesterday, Sunday 6th September, was in fact dominated by England until the last chukka which started with an 8 – 6 ½ advantage to the home team. However two goals from Sam Hopkinson and Tommy Wilson, without any response from the England team, sealed the victory to Commonwealth 8 ½ – 8.


 


Earlier in the day Audi defeated Pololine 3 ½ -3 and retained the Lanesborough Ladies British Open title.
