Threadneedle Dubai Gold Cup
First game of the day was Gulfwings/Sumaya against Habtoor Polo in the first chukka Gulfwings/Sumaya took a small advantage of 3-2, the second chukka was again a very good one for Gulfwings/Sumaya with goals of Ahmad Abughazale and Habtoor Al Habtoor plus two more from Juan Sanchez to take a lead of 7-3. Habtoor Polo made a come back in the last two chukkas outscoring the opposition by 4-2 but it was not enough, the final score was 9-7 for Gulfwings/Sumaya. Guillermo Cuitino with five goals was the top scorer of the match.
The second match was a very close one Dubai Falcons needed to win by two goals against Mahra Polo Teamto go to the semi final. The whole game was very even, the first chukka the score finished 2-2. The second chukka, 3-3, the third chukka 4-4, Dubai Falcons tried hard in the last chukka and won the match 6-5 which unfortunately was not enough to take them to the semi final.
The two semi finals of Wednesday 10 March starts at 15:00 with Gulfwings/Sumaya taking on Zedan Polo and the second semi final between Mahra Polo vs Habtoor Polo at 16:30.
