In the second game in Zone A of the 84th Tortugas Country Club Open, in which the defending champion of the tournament and recent winner of the 131st Hurlingham Open , played on court 6 of the local club, La Natividad, vs Ellerstina UAE Yellow Rose.
Ellerstina played a memorable match and with 12 goals from Sapo Caset and a brilliant performance from Lukín Monteverde on the day of his 19th birthday, they beat their rival 16-14 and ended their unbeaten streak of 13 games, as La Natividad had not lost since the semifinal of Hurlingham 2023.
Ellerstina played the perfect game to be able to beat a 40-goal handicap team that seemed unbeatable. They committed very few fouls, and to top it all off they forced their opponent to commit too many fouls, which Sapo Caset -scorer of the tournament, with 23 goals-, had no problem changing them for a goal.
A great game by Lukín, a great defense by the South African Du Plessis and spectacular appearances by Gonzalito, gave them a huge victory against a team from La Natividad that made many mistakes and that although they have chances, they were not in a good position to seek the pass to the final.
As the four teams are equal with one win and one defeat, the qualifier for the final will be the one who has won the match between the two winning teams next Saturday 26. For example, if La Ellerstina beats Chapa and La Natividad does the same with Cría La Dolfina, Grl. Rodríguez’s team will play the grand final, for having beaten the Castagnola team.
The four can be finalists: a fifth day of Tortugas will come as it has not been seen for many years, with four teams with a chance of reaching the decisive match. Enjoy it!

On Saturday 10/19, on field 5 of the club, in the first game of the third date (second of Zone A) Indios Chapaleufú Vista Energy gave a great surprise, beating Cría La Dolfina by a tight 14-13 and getting their first victory in the Triple Crown 2024. Congratulations!
Despite having started 0-4 averaging the first chukker, the young team from Chapaleufú began to take better marks and fight in all sectors of the field to get closer on the scoreboard, a situation that occurred only in the fourth quarter, with Torito Ruiz standing out in that passage.
From there the match became very even, but Cañuelas’ team always prevailed, which with Bauti Bayugar as a standard and until that moment 100% effective in the execution of fouls, managed to be up on the scoreboard.
The seventh set was the decisive one for Chapa, who with a fiery Antonio Heguy – the best of the match – won the period 3-0 to turn the board around. Although Cría La Dolfina came out desperate in the last chukker and came close with a goal by Rufino Bensadón, they could not equalize the match, despite having two 60-yard penalties from Bauti Bayugar that went wide by centimeters.
It was a triumph for Chapaleufú, unleashing the great celebration of the entire Palenque of the Heguy family team.
