Val d’Isère’s Polo Masters Tournament

Val d’Isère’s Polo Masters Tournament

From 14th to 17th January 2010, some of the world’s best polo players will be in Val d’Isère for a sensational polo-on-snow competition. Forget attempting to tread in the divots in your best shoes – pop on those snow-boots and stamp around to your heart’s content!

World-class players will be arriving with their horses from England, Argentina and France, playing in teams of two. There will be pro as well as amateur games with handicaps ranging from two to six goals, taking place in the village centre in a specially created, 90 x 45 metre “Pro-Am” arena. The start of this original event will be marked by team parades at 6pm on January 14th 2010, with training on Friday 15th, and the competition itself will take place on Saturday and Sunday (16th & 17th January).

Entry is free-of-charge, and there will be plenty of stands so that the crowd can cosy-up and enjoy a large selection of food and drink ranging from anything from pizza to Champagne. There has never been a better opportunity to get up close and personal with some of the world’s best players – who’d have thought it would be 1850m up a mountain in Val d’Isère?!
