Yellow Cab (2-0) picked up its second
consecutive win in the 2012 Sawgrass Challenge 12-goal Pro-Am at the
International Polo Club Sunday morning with a 9-8 win over Goose Creek (1-1).

Juan Monteverde scored the first goal of the
game from the field for Yellow Cab, but Cote Zegers converted a 40-yard penalty
shot for Goose Greek and then added a second goal from the field.  Goose Creek left the field after the opening
chukker of play with a 2-1 edge.

Jeffrey Garber opened the second period with
a Yellow Cab goal to tie it up at 2-2, but Tano Vial put Goose Creek back on
top, 3-2, with his first goal of the game. Monteverde closed out the scoring in
the period to knot it up at 3-3.

Vial added another goal to the Goose Creek
total in the third while Yellow Cab’s Pablo Spinacci converted a pair of
penalty shots for goals and Monteverde scored his third goal of the game.  At the end of the first half, Yellow Cab was
rolling with a 6-4 lead.

Spinacci scored the first goal of the second
half as Yellow Cab extended its lead to three goals, 7-4.  Vial scored a goal from the field and
converted another 40-yard penalty shot to cut the Yellow Cab lead to a single
goal, 7-6.

Spinacci scored on a penalty shot in the fifth,
8-6, but goals from Vial and Zegers had it all even again at 8-8.  Spinacci scored the final goal of the chukker
as Yellow Cab rolled off with a 9-8 advantage.

Both teams struggled to control the play in
the final chukker with shots going wide of goal and clearing shots turning
defense into offense.  The final horn
sounded with no goals being scored in the final chukker as Yellow Cab recorded
a 9-8 win.

Spinacci led the Yellow Cab attack with five
goals.  Monteverde scored three times and
Jeffrey Garber added a goal in the win.

Vial was credited with five goals for Goose
Creek.  Zegers added three goals in a
losing effort.
