Ylvisaker Cup – Day 5

Audi Improves to 1-1 with Victory Over Prestige Worldwide

Both teams entered the lone game on Wednesday in the 2018 Ylvisaker Cup looking for their first win and it was Audi that was victorious, defeating Prestige Worldwide 10-6. An evenly matched game in the first half, foul trouble eventually caught up with Prestige Worldwide as Audi was awarded eight penalty shots in the game, six of which were penalty 2’s. Scoring one penalty goal in every chukka, Nic Roldan led the way for Audi as they used an effective possession attack that forced Prestige Worldwide into difficult positions defensively and ultimately resulted in their 17 committed fouls.

The two teams traded goals throughout the first half, with Nic Roldan and Miguel Novillo Astrada providing the offense for their respective teams, but neither team had held more than a one goal lead by the end of the third chukka. The back and forth action continued in the second half as zero combined field goals were scored in the fourth and fifth chukkas, but Audi was able to build a lead behind the penalty shooting of Roldan.

Playing in place of Nico Pieres, Alejandro Novillo Astrada was a key player defensively for Audi, as Prestige Worldwide was held to zero field goals in the second half as the duo of Astrada and Roldan provided difficulties for Prestige Worldwide throughout the game. After a first half, where Miguel Novillo Astrada led the way with three goals, the passing attack of Prestige Worldwide was unable to produce a consistent attack against an organized Audi defence.

Audi further extended their lead late in the game with Roldan and Astrada scoring one goal each in the final chukka to finish with the 10-6 victory and improve to 1-1 in the Ylvisaker Cup.
