Clearwater Remains Undefeated in 30th Annual Upatoi Cup Play

Clearwater/First View (2-0) remained undefeated in the first week of competition at the 30th Annual Upatoi Cup at the Columbus Polo Club in Columbus, Georgia with a 13-10 win over Young Guns (0-3) while Upatoi Green (2-1) handed Crestview Farm (2-1) its first loss in a 14-11 win on Sunday.
The 16-goal tournament attracted top talent in Upatoi Green (John Flournoy, Ruben Coscia, Shane Rice and Eddy Martinez); Clearwater/First View (Joe Meyer, Francisco Bilbao, Julio Arellano and Chip Campbell); Upatoi blue (Apolinar Baez, Juan Martin Baez, Valerio Aguilar and Mason Lampton); Young Guns (Jake Flournoy, Horacio Onetto, Julian Daniels and Tom Uskup); and Crestview Farm (Alan Meeker, John Eicher, Owen Rinehart and Alan Martinez).
Competition is scheduled to continue through the week with matches scheduled for Wednesday, September 15 (Upatoi Blue (0-1) vs. Upatoi Green (2-1) and Young Guns (0-3) vs. Clearwater (2-0). On Friday, Crestview Farm (2-1) will face Clearwater/First View (2-0) followed by a contest between Young Guns and Upatoi Blue.
The finals are slated to be played on Sunday, September 20th at 2pm and will be preceded by the consolation match at 11:30am.
