White Crane Black 12 – 6 Quianto Capital Polo Team
Ojo Caliente 11 – 10 Bangash
Jasmine Calvert Ansari’s White Crane Black keep hold of their unbeaten record in the 2025 edition of the Aston Martin Prince of Wales’s Championship Cup. Some strong play from all the team ensured they beat Quianto Capital 12-6.
Their number four Felipe Dabas, who had a strong game across all six chukkas, scored the first goal of the match and Black Crane Black did not look back. Quianto Capital were without Ollie Cudmore, who had been injured in their opening game, with Mark Tomlinson taking on this five-goaler’s shirt. Enrico Meneghetti’s team kept fighting but impressive team-work from all four White Crane Black players proved unbeatable. Jasmine’s team were 7-3 up at half-time, winning the match 12-6.
Ojo Caliente, in the second match of the day, also scored their second victory. But Ana Escobedo’s team had to battle back in the final chukkas to secure this win against Bangash. Ojo Caliente were comfortably ahead, 9-5, at the end of the fourth chukka but Bangash found some momentum to close the gap. They fired through four goals in the fifth to be behind by just one goal.
And some frantic play in the final seconds of the sixth made everyone believe this could go to extra time. Sadly for Bangash, who were looking for their first win, it was not to be and Ojo Caliente head unbeaten in their final league game.
