 British Beach Polo Championships 2009

Sandpolo, the organisers of the British Beach Polo Championships 2009, are pleased to announce Sunseeker Poole
and Sunseeker London as the event’s title sponsor. The brand leader of luxury motoryachts will support the Championships, which return to Sandbanks in Poole for a second year of competition on Friday July 10 and Saturday July 11.

The British Beach Polo Championships 2009 in association with Sunseeker will feature six teams of national and international players, vying for victory over two thrilling days of competition. Jack Kidd, polo-playing brother of supermodel Jodie, has entered a celebrity team of himself, his sister and Jamie Morrison in to the Championships. For the first time on British sand, the England Beach Polo Team will also go head to head with players from the USA.

Ensuring each day of the Championships finishes in style, HedKandi will be delivering its only UK beach party on Friday evening, while the players closing party will conclude the 2009 event on Saturday.

Johnny Wheeler, from Sandpolo Ltd, organisers of the British Beach Polo Championships, said: “It’s a great pleasure to be able to announce Sunseeker as the title sponsor for the 2009 Championships. With the event in its second year, we are extremely pleased to join up with Sunseeker, a brand associated with quality and excellence. The synergy between Sunseeker motoryachts, the quality of polo and the stunning Blue Flag beach at Sandbanks are sure to make this an unmissable event.”
Paul Grange, Sales Director of Sunseeker Poole, added: “After a successful inaugural event in 2008, we are delighted to be involved with and pledge our support to the British Beach Polo Championships. As the leading British brand established in Poole, we felt it only right to be supporting an event that celebrates the best polo talent in the country, while showcasing Poole, the home of Sunseeker.”
With preparations well under way for the British Beach Polo Championships 2009, title sponsor Sunseeker joins an already prestigious line-up of sponsors, including Pommery, Audi and Kukri.
