Chateau D´Aulne & Dark Ice: Champions on the French Riviera

A fantastic polo day was held on Sunday at Saint Tropez Polo Club with the two thrilling finals of the Cote d’Azur Polo Cup, the first 18-goal tournament on the French Riviera.

 

The 18-goal final kicked off at 5pm, with a clash between Chateau D’ Aulne and Las Plantas. The match was very even throughout, and had to be decided in extra chukka. Finally, Chateau D’Aulne’s Sebastián Harriott scored a penalty for the win.

 

Final: Chateau d’Aulne 10-9 Las Plantas

Chateau d’Aulne: Nacho Kennedy 4, Alexis Pouille de Balkany 2, Nito Uranga 6, Sebastián Harriott 6.

Las Plantas: Peter Kis 0, Tete Fanelli 4, Bautista Ortiz de Urbina 7, Jaime García Huidobro 7.

The 10-goal category saw Dark Ice face Amanara. After a great comeback (they were 3 goals behind), Dark Ice took a 7-6 win. It was a great team performance, led by Juan Jauretche.

 

Final: Amanara 6-7 Dark Ice
