Cowdray Park Polo Club’s General Manager to leave the club

Cowdray Park Polo Club is sad to announce the resignation of Matt Petersen who has held the position of General Manager since January 2017.

Prior to joining Cowdray Park Polo Club, Matt Petersen had served as an Army Officer for 30 years in both Regular and Reserve Army appointments.  Whilst working at the club he has continued his service as a full Colonel at Force Troops Command, Upavon, working in a National Army Reserve appointment.  He will be continuing these duties and supporting the newly announced drive to recruit into the Reserve Army in Great Britain whilst also embarking on new opportunities.

Jonathan Russell, CEO of the Cowdray Estate, and acting Chairman of the club says: “Matt Petersen has been an enthusiastic and forward-looking GM.  We thank him for the contribution he has made to Cowdray Park Polo Club during the past twelve months especially in overseeing the signing of contracts with King Power International Group as the new title sponsor of the Gold Cup.  We wish Matt and his wife Emma well in their future plans.”
