Guards Polo Club appoints EFG International as Official Bank in Diamond Jubilee Year

Guards Polo Club announced this morning that it has appointed EFG International as one of its prestigious Corporate Partners, signing a three-year agreement with this leading private bank. However EFG Bank is already very familiar with polo, generously sponsoring tournaments and teams in the UK and further afield. This includes international events with Guards Polo Club, most recently the Club’s Sao Paulo International Polo in Brazil in September 2014.

On making this announcement Neil Hobday, CEO of Guards Polo Club, said: “EFG International is an ideal partner for Guards Polo Club. This private bank’s dedication to polo matches our own passion for this great game. EFG Bank and Guards Polo Club have worked together successfully on several projects in the past, but this new Corporate Partnership will now allow us to work more closely together on several exciting initiatives at home and abroad.”

Keith Gapp, Head of Strategy and Marketing for EFG International, is equally enthusiastic about this new agreement. “‎We are delighted to be the official bank partner of Guards Polo Club. EFG has been a committed supporter of polo around the world for many years, supporting teams and events in practically every continent. Guards Polo Club is perhaps the most prestigious polo club in the world and resonates internationally – naturally I am looking forward to working with Guards to reinforce further what is already a strong partnership.”

EFG International is joining Guards Polo Club at a most auspicious year. Europe’s leading club is celebrating its 60th anniversary in 2015 and its impressive fixtures list includes the Cartier Queen’s Cup, the Bentley Royal Windsor Cup, the Archie David Cup and the Land Rover Duke of Cornwall Trophy.
