The celebration of Heritage Polo came in full swing this Sunday with the final between the EFG International British Army Polo Team to take the lead with Team Captain Major Matt Eyre-Brook of the 9th/12th Lancers, Officer Cadet Doug White, Robert Mehm and Army Association Polo Coach Gaston Devrient, to beat the I4I Dubai Falcons 61/2 to 5. The British were first to pounce with Officer Cadet White finding the goal twice in the early minutes of the opening chukka.


The Dubai Falcons playing in T.M Lewin green and white striped shirts & black silk tie had 5 goal Professional Player Charlie Moldoon as playmaker, a game of suspense and high quality polo to entertain the crowds of Habib Bank UK and EFG International, as well as the Academy Staff and young Officer Cadets.


EIM Helvetia took on HBL Pakistan Invitational Team to win by one goal with Justo Saavedra (6), professional of Fabien Pictet to open up the game to take the lead with Markus Graeff of Polo Park Zurich and Gilles Lerailles.


Luxembourg played the USA Destinations of Polo Virginia to bring the score level.


The celebration of 125 years since the Polo Club of Sandhurst 1885 & 5 years of Heritage Polo to end up with the British Army Officers winning the Cup was a dream come true for Polo Manger and Founder of Heritage Polo Barbara Zingg.


A Day full of entertainment with the Band of the Bugles and Rifles, the RMAS Staff College Drag Hunt Parade of Hounds, the Shetland Pony Club Presentation with 3 children and the 2 sword men of the King’s Royal Horse Artillery.
