International Polo Charity Ball update: the early-bird discount for gala dinner tickets is currently available, but expires at the end of today, June 15th, at midnight.

 

Gala dinner tickets are $150 discounted thru 6/15; $175 after 6/15. Patron tables of 10 are also available.    
Dinner tickets include cocktails, dinner, & dancing from
7:00pm-midnight.  Dinner seating is limited.

Scotland to Defend its Last Victory

June 19, 2010… Portsmouth, RI : Team USA will be prepared to face Scotland’s best on Saturday, June 19th  in the Newport International Polo Series at 5pm. 

 

The Scottish polo team will make its seventh consecutive appearance in the Polo Series with a fresh reinforcement of players including Jeff Swanson, Charlie Swanson, Charlie Bucknall  and James Douglas.”The Scots have brought a secret weapon each year, and we will be on our guard,” stated Dan Keating, captain of the USA team. A following of Scottish fans from throughout the region has grown each year in attendance at the match, wearing kilts and waving ’the Saltire’ St. Andrews cross in lively support of their fellow countrymen.   

 

The weekly door prize raffle will give away a luxury gift from Terrida, courtesy of WCRB Classical Radio. A trophy presentation will follow the match, with the presentation of the USA vs. Scotland silver revere bowl to the victorious team, and the Best Playing Pony blanket bestowed on the horse determined by the visiting team to have made the biggest difference in their contest against USA.  

           
For match tix, season passes, special event reservations and reserved Tailgate parking, visit our new website.  Match tickets and season passes are also sold at the entry gates after 1pm.  General Admissionfor lawn or grandstand seating and tailgate picnics is $10.00 for adults; children 15 & under are free.  Box seating in the Subscribers Enclosure is also available for $15/person.
