Northeast Equine Expo Kicks Off Top Equestrian Event

Northeast Equine Expo recently announced its 2010 event by fielding a team at the Meadowbrook Ladies Tournament. Playing for Expo were Lauren Carson, Stacie Rodriquez, Barbara Tedder and Jessica Walsh,

The Expo, a premier equestrian event in the region, will be held at world-renowned Belmont Park on May 29-30, 2010. Drawing from the New England and Tri-State area, 30,000 people are expected to attend.

“Certainly, just before the Triple Crown, on a holiday weekend, this is the place for all equine vendors and sponsors,” Bryan Lazarus, Expo chairman, said. “This family-friendly event is a great showcase for exhibitors and riders, in one of the top equestrian areas of the United States.”

Long Island alone has over 60,000 horses and generates an estimated $1 billion in equine revenues.

Jessica Walsh, Expo Co-Founder said “We are proud that Belmont Park has offered us the rare opportunity to host demonstrations in the center of the raceway. We have invited a variety of riders to perform, from Olympic level to pony club and will be hosting an exciting match of polo.

Not only will these eventsLive have a large audience at the Park, they will be shown on the Race TV Broadcast System to approximately 3 million people.

In addition to the broadcasted Infield eventsLive, portions of Belmont’s historic grounds have been reserved for exhibitors and special tents will feature fabulous eco-friendly to equestrian lifestyle products. Walsh said visitors can view different breeds in hundred stalls under one tent. The Expo will also have a special tent specifically for families with a young equestrian. Demonstrations and workshops will be held throughout the two-day event.

Located between Manhattan and the Hamptons, Belmont Park is easily accessible to thousands of equestrian enthusiasts.

Vendors can reserve 10 x 10 booths, as well as larger exterior spaces. Lazarus noted that various sponsorship packages are also available.
