Rain delays play in the 2013 USPA NationalTwenty Goal

Casablanca (Grant Ganzi, Sugar Erskine, Mike Azzaro andHector Galindo) and Audi (Marc Ganzi, Carlitos Gracida, Nic Roldan and CarlosGracida) battled to a 4-4 tie with 1:32 left in the second chukker before heavyrains forced the suspension of play in the 2013 USPA National 20-goaltournament at the Grand Champions Polo Club.

Audi received one goal by handicap from the 19-goalCasablanca team and picked up single goals from Nic Roldan and Carlos Gracida inthe opening chukker.  Mike Azzaro gotCasablanca on the scoreboard with their only goal and trailed Audi, 3-1.

Azzaro took control of the ball in the second period as hescored three consecutive goals to tie, 3-3, and then take the lead, 4-3.  Roldan made a run at the Casablanca goal butwas stopped on the goal line by Grant Ganzi. A trailing Marc Ganzi tapped it over the goals line, however, to tie itup at 4-4.

The rain increased and playing conditions deteriorated tothe point that the game was suspended. 

The conclusion of the game will be scheduled after thefields are inspected, with the finals still slated to be played on Saturday,November 23.
