Royal Salute, the world’s leading luxury Scotch whisky, has further extended its close association with the international polo community, with a second year as title sponsor of The Royal Salute Maharaja of Jodhpur Golden Jubilee Cup in India.


The high profile collaboration, which took place from 26-30 December, in the magical setting of the foothills of the Royal Umaid Bhawan Palace, Jodphur saw Royal Salute continue to build on its unique royal heritage with the attendance of honorable guests including His Highness The Maharaja Gaj Singh II and the 13th Duke of Argyll, Torquhil Ian Campbell.


The Royal Salute Maharaja of Jodphur Golden Jubilee Cup culminated in a fast and furious final played between a local Jodphur team, the Yuvraj Knights and The Haryana Polo and Riding Club, which saw 18 goals scored. Glory in the end went to the Yuvraj Knights who truly rose to the challenge, scoring an impressive 11 goals under the watchful and excited eye of The Maharaja Gai Singh II, members of his family and the local community.
