Second Match
On Sunday 10/18, on court 1 of the Alfredo Lalor Headquarters that the AAP owns in Pilar, the fourth date (second of Zone B) of the 86th Tortugas Country Club Galicia Open presented by Visa ended, in which the Emilio de Anchorena Cup is at stake.
In the match, La Hache Polo – runner-up of the Hurlingham Open – debuted with a victory in the tournament, defeating La Irenita Clinova 18-12. Clinova was one of the two teams that qualified through the Qualifying Tournament. This result leaves four of the five teams in the Zone tied in the standings with two points each. The only team in this group yet to win is La Aguada Daily Mail .
Although the match was very evenly contested until well past the halfway point, La Hache was able to control the tempo thanks to the outstanding performances of Hilario Ulloa and Benja Panelo. From the sixth chukker onward, they began to build a comfortable lead, and the final score was decisive because La Hache was more clinical in penalty kicks. La Irenita had five penalty kicks from 60 yards during the match but failed to convert any of them.
